Pilates
“Balance is not something you find, it is something you Create.”
Pilates isn’t just exercise—it’s a revolutionary mind-body practice designed to transform the way you move, feel, and live. Originally developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century, this method was first known as Contrology and was inspired by his experiences during World War I, where he refined his unique system of exercises to build both physical strength and mental resilience.
After moving to Manhattan, Pilates introduced his method to elite dancers, athletes, and Hollywood stars, helping them develop core strength, flexibility, and body control. Today, his legacy continues, with millions worldwide reaping the benefits of this powerful full-body conditioning system.

What are the fundamentals of Pilates?
- Shoulder stabilisation (shoulders that sit down the back without bringing tension into the neck)
- Neutral spine and/or pelvis (the natural curve of the spine that provides the most and efficient position for movement)
- Core stabilisation (providing a stable torso when moving)
- Pelvic floor engagement (providing additional support to the back and torso)
- Lateral thoracic breathing (breathing into the sides of the ribcage to allow a full breath whilst exercising).
What are the Pilates Principles?
- Breath
- Precision
- Flow
- Concentration
- Centering
- Control
By applying the fundamentals and principles of Pilates to your practice the benefits you will feel can be life changing. Your quality of movement will improve both inside and outside of the class and you will feel better both mentally and physically.

Hatha Yoga
Hatha yoga focuses on posture and breathing techniques to channel vital energy sources. In Sanskrit, Hatha translates to force. In Hatha Yoga Rebalance with Vix classes you’ll flow through a carefully designed sequence of asanas (postures), breathwork (pranayama), and meditation, all aimed at enhancing strength, flexibility, and mental clarity.
Whether you’re looking to improve mobility, reduce stress, or deepen your self-awareness, this practice provides the perfect foundation for physical and emotional well-being.
- Increase Strength & Flexibility – Improve mobility while building a resilient body
- Enhance Balance & Stability – Strengthen deep stabilising muscles & coordination
- Reduce Stress & Anxiety – Experience deep relaxation through breath & movement
- Boost Mental Clarity & Focus – Cultivate mindfulness & presence in daily life
- Accessible for Every Body – Tailored to all experience levels & abilities
A typical Hatha Yoga session begins with grounding and breath awareness, preparing your mind and body for movement. You’ll then flow through joint mobilisation, strength-building asanas, and gentle sequences such as Sun or Moon Salutations, followed by pranayama (breathing techniques) to centre the mind. The class concludes with Savasana (deep relaxation) or seated meditation, leaving you feeling rejuvenated, balanced, and connected.
All you need is a mat, an open heart, and a willingness to breathe. Your journey to a calmer, stronger you starts here!
